My Approach

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, applied step by step

CBT is a solution-focused type of psychotherapy that helps individuals to understand the relationship between their thoughts, their emotions, and their behaviors.

01

Understand the pattern

CBT helps you understand the relationship between your thoughts, your emotions, and your behaviors, and the influence your thoughts and behaviors have on how you feel.

02

Set goals together

CBT takes a collaborative approach in which therapist and client work together to identify specific goals and step-by-step approaches toward achieving them.

03

Practice real skills

CBT focuses on teaching real techniques and coping skills for the situations bringing you to therapy, as well as situations that may arise in the future.

04

Carry it into daily life

Between-session assignments help you implement the techniques and coping skills learned in session into your daily life, so change lasts.

Seeking therapy is an individual choice. Individuals tend to seek out therapy when their current issues or emotional states are too overwhelming and are negatively impacting their daily lives. Participating in therapy is more than simply talking to someone about your issues. The goal of therapy is to help you develop new perspectives and insights as well as techniques and coping skills so that you have the tools to overcome your obstacles and achieve happiness and well-being. Therapy works best for individuals who are interested in experiencing optimal mental and emotional health by taking responsibility, engaging in self-awareness, and actively working toward making positive and lasting changes.
